Description
A full-body massage oil for babies, made with 25 Ayurvedic herbs — including saffron, ashwagandha, and manjistha — heat-infused into a coconut, olive, and sesame oil base. Suitable from 5 months.
Heritage & Origin
Baby massage is one of the oldest childcare rituals in South India — done daily, often before a bath, with oil that had been prepared at home from herbs trusted across generations. The specific herbs varied by family and region, but the intention was always the same: to nourish the skin, calm the nervous system, and strengthen the body during the earliest months of growth. Rashee Cares Herbal Baby Massage Oil is built on that same foundation — 25 herbs, a three-oil base, and a preparation method that extracts the herb’s properties into the oil rather than adding fragrance on top of it.
The Process
Herbs extracted into the oil, not added to it
The herbs are washed, ground, and gently heated. The coconut, olive, and sesame oil base is then added so the herbal essence transfers directly into the oil. The mixture is filtered through muslin cloth and cooled before bottling. Every batch is checked for color, odor, and texture, and tested for pH and microbial safety before it leaves the facility.
What’s Inside
25 herbs, grouped by what they’re traditionally used for
For skin nourishment and tone
Saffron, manjistha, and Indian sarsaparilla are herbs with deep roots in Ayurvedic skin care — traditionally used in formulations intended for soft, even-toned skin. Saffron in particular has been part of South Indian baby care for generations, used in massage oils long before it became a premium ingredient in modern skincare.
For calming and relaxation
Chamomile, rose petals, and licorice — traditionally used for their soothing, gentle effect on skin and the senses during massage.
For scalp and muscle support
Ashwagandha, country mallow (Sida Cordifolia), and Jyotishmati (Celastrus Paniculatus) — herbs traditionally used in Ayurvedic formulations intended for muscle tone, nerve nourishment, and physical strength in growing children.
For scalp comfort and circulation
Neem leaves, moringa, betel leaves, and Ixora Coccinea — herbs traditionally used in South Indian baby care to keep skin clean and support healthy circulation during massage.
For warmth and absorption
Ginger, cinnamon, and turmeric — warming herbs traditionally added to massage oils to support circulation and improve how the oil settles into the skin during massage.
Botanical actives
Calendula, Tridax Procumbens, Tanner’s Cassia, Spanish cherry flower, and White Dammer (Kunthirikkam) round out the formulation — each with traditional use in Siddha and folk medicine for skin care and inflammation.
The oil base
Virgin coconut oil (primary carrier, chosen for skin penetration), olive oil (traditionally used for skin softness), and sesame oil (warming, deeply nourishing) — together with Vitamin E for antioxidant support.
